Tips for your trip to Kenya

Accommodation: Please select the villa/suites that you like best. Pictures, descriptions and prices can be found on our website: https://www.maisonmuege.com

Travel tips: SWISS flies directly from Zurich to Nairobi. Change planes in Nairobi and then continue to Mombasa. With Ethiopian Airlines, you can now fly from Zurich via Malpensa, Italy (you will remain on the plane for 1 hour in Malpensa until your connecting flight) to Addis Ababa, change planes there and continue to Mombasa. NeosAir flies directly from Milan Malpensa to Mombasa. It is best to book these flights directly on the respective websites. Turkish Airlines has not been flying to Mombasa for some time now! Please note that you can still book and pay, but shortly before your departure date you will receive a cancellation and, after a long wait, your flight costs will be refunded. The airline is reportedly still waiting for a landing permit in Mombasa.

Passport: Travel documents must be valid for at least six months beyond the end of your stay. You must present a return or onward ticket.
Registration: You no longer need a visa to stay in Kenya, but you must register here:
ATM: In the centre of Kilifi, you can withdraw money with a credit card, especially Visa cards. The daily limit for cash withdrawals is 40,000 KSh.
MALARIA: It is up to the guest to decide whether Malarone tablets are advisable. We only take prophylaxis with us, as we are always in the country for long periods of time. This is different when on holiday. It is important to use sunscreen during the day and spray on ANTI-BRUMM Tropical (relatively new on the market) from 5 p.m. onwards. All our windows, doors and beds have mosquito nets.
Yellow fever: Not required for Kenya (only for Tanzania). Vaccination for hepatitis A + B is always recommended, not only for Africa. If you are unsure, please ask your doctor; we only make recommendations.
Shuttle: We will organise the shuttle from Mombasa Airport to Maison Müge for you. Marko or Joseph will pick you up at Mombasa Airport. They will have a sign with Maison Müge on it. For reservations, please let us know your travel times in advance. We are happy to pay the taxi fare directly to the driver upon your arrival. The cost will be included in the final bill, which you can pay in cash or by VISA. We do not earn anything from this; it is simply a service we offer.
Tips for activities during your stay: you will find some options on our website.
You can pay the final bill on site in cash or by VISA/credit card.
Meals: Our kitchen team prepares a delicious standard menu for dinner every day. The menu is posted on the flipchart in the restaurant every day and can be discussed and ordered until 10:00 a.m.
You can also view the menus on our website.
Tour operator: Maison Müge does not organise trips such as flights, safaris or similar. We are not a tour operator, we only make recommendations

.
We wish you a pleasant and relaxing stay.
